We are never without skin problems. If it is a pimple this time, it is blackheads the other! While most of these problems fade with time, they all leave tell-trail marks - dark spots! That's why we need face masks to remove dark spots, for example this parsley leaves face mask!
Parsley on skin? Is that even real? As off as it sounds, it does work! You see, some of the natural herbs and plants found around home are potent carriers of skin-loving nutrients that can change the way your skin feels and looks, parsley is no different!
As you know, your body cannot naturally synthesise vitamin C, it sources it from the food we consume. And parsley contains a high ratio of vitamin C, which boosts the collagen level in skin, which in turn increases cell turnover and repairs damaged skin cells.
Furthermore, parsley possesses beta-carotene, which gets processed into vitamin A. It is this vitamin A that improves the skin's elasticity and erases wrinkles.
Furthermore, it is packed with antibacterial properties that clear pores and erase wrinkles. And the high quotient of antioxidants present will help remove blemishes and dark spots.
If we keep going on exactly how beneficial parsley is to your skin, we will have to write a complete thesis.
Going beyond, here is how to clear dark spots naturally using parsley!
Take a handful of parsley leaves and rinse it well. Boil a cup of water in medium flame. Add the parsley leaves. Let it simmer for 15 minutes. Allow the solution to cool down. Strain it and keep it aside.
Add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the solution. Vinegar sloughs off the dead skin layer, draws out the impurities from skin and lightens skin tone. Transfer the solution into an airtight bottle, and keep it in a dry place.
Before using this solution, you need to first cleanse your face of impurities. Dip a cotton ball in raw cold milk, wring out the excess and rub it onto your facial skin and neck. You will see the dirt coming right off from your skin.
Next, rinse your face with lukewarm water. Pat dry your skin with a soft towel. Make sure your skin remains slightly moist, as it allows for the better absorption of the mask.
Take a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of the honey to the mask, mix it well. And gently massage it to your face and neck.
Let the parsley leaves face mask sit for 20 minutes and then rinse your face with lukewarm water, following it up by rinsing your face with cold water to close pores. Pat dry.
Take another cotton ball, and add a few drops of rose water onto it and rub it onto your skin. Rose water helps tone and soothe skin.
As a last step, massage your skin with a light moisturiser. Massage it for 5 to 10 minutes in a circular motion, it will stimulate blood flow, plus add a rosy glow to your skin.
Instead of a light moisturiser, you can also massage your skin with some aloe vera gel. It gets absorbed right into the skin, leaving your skin baby-smooth and supple.
Use this DIY parsley face mask once, every night, before going to sleep and within a week, you will notice your skin become visibly soft, supple and smooth!
