Here Is How You Can Reduce Skin Pigmentation In A Week!

Go in front of the mirror and take a good close look at your skin. What do you see? Dry patches, may be? Dark spots peppered across your skin? Or the worse of them all, uneven skin tone?

All the problems, so far described, root from one core issue - pigmented skin, which happens due to excessive melanin production.

Now, what spikes melanin production in our system? Things we often forgo to factor in - sun exposure, emotional stress, hormonal imbalance, using toxic chemicals and more.

Before we further explore the DIY mask for clear skin, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First, avoid stepping out under the direct glare of the sunlight, without proper application of a sunscreen lotion.

Second, quit touching your face. Third, hydrate your system with enough water. Fourth, go easy on skin care products, and give your skin some breathing space.

And for that added TLC, here are some herbal masks for dark spots that work like a charm.

Lemon Juice + Turmeric

Lemon juice contains citric acid and vitamin C, which lighten and brighten skin. And, turmeric contains antioxidants that repair the damaged skin cells.

Step 1:

Mix 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, with a pinch of turmeric, and apply it evenly on your face and neck.

Step 2:


Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Once dry, rinse and pat dry. Try this herbal mask on alternate days.

Lemon Juice + Rose Water + Orange Juice

Citric acid in lemon juice repairs the skin. Vitamin E in rose water tones skin. And vitamin C present in orange juice cleanses pores and brightens the skin tone.

Step 1:

Take a bowl, mix a teaspoon of orange juice, with an equal amount of rose water, and a few drops of lemon juice. Using a fork, blend it well.

Step 2:

Dip a cotton ball into the solution, apply it all over your face and neck. Let it sit until dry, then cleanse it with lukewarm water. Follow it up by rinsing with cold water to close pores.

Milk Cream + Besan

Milk cream contains lactic acid that hydrates and nourishes the skin. Slightly rough granules of besan slough off the dead skin layer, revealing the clear skin underneath.

Step 1:

Take a teaspoon of besan, mix it with a required amount of milk cream to make it into a fine paste. Add a few drops of lemon juice. Using a fork, mix well, till all the ingredients blend.

Step 2:


Cleanse your face and apply the mask. Let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes. Later, rinse and pat dry.
