All girls face problems like blemishes and dark circles. Wouldn't it be great to know how to hide them? As we all know, these can show up quite a lot even in pictures.

And then there's the dilemma of having skin that may not look nice all month long, because let's face it, our hormones love to play games with our skin. So, makeup tricks can really come in handy.

No matter what you're trying to achieve, be it a classy look for a party or a simple trick to hide blemishes, these makeup tricks would have you covered, quite literally.

Here are some makeup tricks every girl should know!

Cover Zits:

That time of the month? Or is it just a random pimple that decided to pop up. To cover a zit you will need a green colour corrector, some concealer, foundation and a pressed powder. Green counteracts the red in your pimple and covers it completely. Be sure to blend well.

Under Eye Circles:

Late nights and stress give us panda eyes! Cover up dark circles perfectly by using a salmon or orange toned concealer. The orange helps counteract the purple in your dark circles, instantly brightening them up.

Glowing Skin:

For those days when your skin just won't look bright, use a strobe or highlighting cream. Mix this with your foundation or BB cream to get that lit from within look.

Winged Eyeliner:

This classic eye look goes with every attire that you could possibly imagine. This is one eye look that every girl should master.

Bold Red Lips:

Every girl should have a go to red lipstick. Nothing brightens up your face more than a red lipstick does. Plus, it makes you instantly feel like a diva. So go right ahead and find the shade of red that is best for you.

Define Eyebrows:

Big, full eyebrows are in. So learn how to shape them well using tweezers and fill in the gaps using an eyebrow pencil or eyeshadow.

Basic Contouring:

No we don't want you to go all out Kardashian style with your contouring. Just the basics will do, to fake a chiselled face. Use a powder contour product as these look the most natural and are easy to blend. Make sure the contouring product is two shades darker than your skin tone.
