A 3-Step Haircare Routine To Get Rid Of Dandruff

Easy Haircare Routine For Dandruff
Step 1: Overnight, oil your hair
Oiling your hair is the first and most important step in your hair care regimen if dandruff is your primary concern.
By applying essential oils such as tea tree, jojoba, or extra-virgin coconut oil to your mane, you will not only control dandruff, but also reduce scalp itching and leave your mane nourished [2].
The night before your wash day, oil your hair. Allow the oil to penetrate the scalp overnight.

Step 2: Use a clinically proven shampoo
The most important step in treating dandruff is to wash your hair properly with a dandruff shampoo that has been clinically proven to be effective [3].
- Spread the shampoo evenly across the scalp, paying particular attention to areas that are difficult to reach, such as behind the ears.
- Lather up for about one minute. Massage the scalp with your fingertips (not your nails).
- Then rinse with warm water to remove as much dirt and oil as possible.
- It is recommended that you repeat this process a second time. A second lather will ensure that no areas are missed.
Step 3: Condition
You cannot wash your hair without a conditioner. If you fail to follow up with conditioner, your hair will be left dry and lifeless -always follow up shampooing with conditioner.
- The conditioner should be applied from mid-length to the ends of your hair.
- Rinse your hair with lukewarm water after a few minutes.
- Use a rinse-off conditioner rather than a leave-in conditioner.
