1. Stress

While you are suffering from stress, it does not allow the hair from growing because all the hair follicles enter the resting era in the same moment, which therefore results in a very speedy hair loss.

2. Chemical Treatments
Regular use of harsh chemicals on the hair not only affects the body and skin but it also hampers the growth of hair. Opting for bleaching of hair, straightening, curling or styling of hair reduces the quality of the hair strands, thus making them lifeless. Apart from damaging your tresses, these chemical treatments also destroy the hair follicles by slowing down the growth of hair.

3. Deficiency Of Nutrients
Dealing with deficiency of nutrients is the next most important factor that prevents your hair from growing. Having a poor or unbalanced diet can mess up with your hair follicles, thus discouraging your hair from growing any further. Our body needs the right amount of vitamins, proteins and other vital elements to function properly and so is the case with hair growth. Taking vitamins and minerals just acts as a fuel that helps to boost hair growth.

4. Medical Conditions
If a person is suffering from any medical condition, it directly affects the scalp as well as the hair of the person. Suffering from a heart condition, diabetes, high cholesterol and high pressure can be responsible for thinning of hair. You should make sure to take care of your health as much as possible and treat the medical condition with the possible medication. In such cases, it is always better to consult an expert.

5. Lack Of Sleep
Sleep deprivation can be another cause of temporary or permanent loss of hair. The rule is you should sleep at least 7-8 hours in a day. Your body tends to regenerate the cells while you sleep, since your body and brain rest at that time. However, if you don't sleep properly, the body will not be able to regenerate and repair the skin and hair tissues, thus leading to hair loss and dryness of the skin.

6. Hormonal Changes
Hormonal imbalance in the body can generally affect the growth of hair. Though this is not a mistake, hormonal changes take place during pregnancy or menopause as well as because of thyroid problems, or while taking contraceptive pills. During such cases, a person tends to suffer from permanent hair loss. A woman taking drugs or steroids can often suffer from temporary or permanent hair loss.
