Among the various skin problems resulting from shaving the most common one is the Razor cut. A majority of men just loathe seeing the ugly red coloured cuts on their faces after their daily shaving ritual.

In order to deal with this issue, there are some home remedies that come to your rescue. Instead of splurging on countless creams and lotions, you can bank on these simple and readily available home remedies for razor burns and shaving cuts.

Read on to know more about the top home remedies and how they can help you heal from your razor burns and shaving cuts naturally:

Apply ice immediately on your cut to cease bleeding. The cold compression would contract the blood vessels and promote clotting.

Vitamin E

In order to heal your shaving cut, make sure to apply a Vitamin E cream or lotion a couple of times daily.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera works wonders in alleviating the pain caused by a shaving cut. It also moisturises your skin. Clean your wound nicely and once the bleeding stops, apply some fresh aloe vera gel instantly.

Witch Hazel

Witch hazel is a natural astringent. Apply this to your shaving cut straight away to soothe your soreness and redness due to the cut.

Aspirin Paste

Dissolve an aspirin tablet in one glass of water. Soak a cotton ball in this solution and apply it on to your cut. Aspirin will not only aid in relieving your pain, but it will also promote healing.

Lip Balm

Lip balm contains wax, which helps avert the bleeding due to a shaving cut and it also helps in clotting. In addition, a lip balm will also lock your cut and guard it from further infection.

Tea Bag

Take a used tea bag and place it on your cut immediately to prevent bleeding. Moreover, a tea bag also acts as an excellent antioxidant.

Fruit Mask

Make a fruit mask with one teaspoon of sour cream and 2 strawberries. Mash them and make a fine paste and thereafter apply it on to your cut for about 10 minutes and then wash it off with water. This soothing mask will definitely soothe your shaving cut.

In order to keep your skin hydrated, a good moisturising lotion is extremely necessary. After shaving, always apply a mild moisturiser on your face. Coconut oil can also be a good option to keep your skin moist.

Sprinkle a small amount of sugar granules on your wound, this will help your bleeding to cease immediately. Sugar also has the ability to sterilize a wound.

Deodorant contains aluminum chloride, which can help in blood clotting and also in solidifying the tissues around the burnt or cut area. Take some deodorant on your fingertip and then gently apply it on to your wound.
