Bhamari Pranayama

By Staff

The word 'Bhamari' would mean a large black bee. It is called so as the sound produced while doing this resembles that of the humming of a bee.

1. Bhamari Pranayama is the same as that of Ujjayi breathing except that while exhalation, a soft humming sound is produced.

2.Sit in a preferable yogic posture like Padmasana , Vajrasana

3.or Sukasana.

4.Cover your ears with your thumbs, have your index fingers above your eye brows and the other fingers over your eyes.

5.Take a deep breath, and while exhalation make a humming sound, like the buzzing of the bees using your throat.

6.Repeat it for 5 to 10 times.

7.Relax in Savasana.
