These 8 Lessons From The Bhagavad Gita Will Leave You Inspired For Life
These 8 Lessons From Bhagavad Gita Will Leave You Inspired For Life.
The term 'Bhagavad Gita' literally means the 'song of the god'. This book is considered as one of the greatest spiritual teachings the world has ever seen.
6 Reasons Why Being Spiritual Makes You Successful
This book is more about a discussion that happened between Lord Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield. When Arjuna was worried and confused about what to do as the situation forced him to fight with his own relatives, Lord Krishna tried to enlighten him through his thoughts, which are today referred to as the divine speech of Lord Krishna.
Bhagavad Gita is more about self realisation and it can help anyone who really wishes to take a deeper look at the nature of things and life itself. Some of the greatest leaders and thinkers of this century like Einstein and Gandhi have relished this book and tried to follow most of its teachings.
Of course, this is a book which is more about true knowledge and self realisation and that is why it has been embraced by people from all cultures and backgrounds.
Now, let us discuss these 8 lessons from the Bhagavad Gita.
Nothing Is Permanent
Nothing is permanent in this universe and so is your body. Therefore, identifying yourself with your body is futile. Except your eternal soul, everything else is impermanent. There is no point in pinning your hopes on impermanent objects that would perish sooner or later. Attachment breeds misery.
Inaction Is Foolishness
A person who shuns his worldly duties and tries to escape responsibilities is deluded. True liberation is possible only when one renders his worldly duties without escaping.
Work Hard And Don't Worry About The Result
When you can put aside the worry about the results, you can stay happy irrespective of the nature of the result and also work harder without taking much stress and thus bring better outcomes.
Conquer Desire
A stable mind is the one which understands the nature and structure of desire and stays free from its control.
Selfishness Blinds Your Wisdom
A mind clouded with selfishness is like a mirror covered with mist or dust. When selfishness is put aside, clarity of mind steps in.
Avoid Extremities, Embrace Moderation
Too much or too little of anything can create imbalance in life. Whether it is sleep or food or physical pleasures, moderation is the key.
Rage Deludes You
A fit of rage simply deludes you. Anger confuses you. All actions that are done in anger are futile. The mind loses logic and reason once it is occupied by anger. Anger can be the sole reason for the downfall of even the greatest man.
God Is Within You
The supreme force is everywhere in the universe; in every living and non-living thing. A human being is just a small piece of the whole and most of his circumstances are a play of the bigger forces or God. Therefore, fear of future is ridiculous, since the God stays within.
