The very fact that the earth is bearing the load of a vile slanderer, is its greatest virtue.
This is the poet's sarcastic way of denouncing the slanderer, who speaks all evil behind the back of the victim. The patient Mother Earth's greatest virtue is that it continues to bear the load of such a wicked slanderer.
Kural 151 uses the same idea of the Earth's abiding patience to emphasise the need for the virtue of forbearance.
