    Sai Satcharitra-Epilogue-Part 3

    Shirdi Saibaba
Sai Satcharitra, Epilogue 2 consisted of the reward of reading the life of Shirdi Sai. This article talks about the arti of Saibaba.

We close the prayer to the Almighty with the following Prasad of favour:- May the readers and devotees get complete and whole-hearted devotion to Sai's Feet. May His Form be ever fixed in their eyes and may they see Sai (the Lord) in all beings. Amen!

Sai Ram. It has been the personal experience of thousands of Sai devotees including this servant of Sai that a regular reading of Sri Sai Satcharitra is purifying and spiritually uplifting, just as Sri Guru Charitra, Sri Bhagavad Gita, Sri Vishnu Sahasra Nama Stotra and many other holy books. As the author (Sai through the author) suggests, we can read one chapter every day or we can do a Saptaha (focused reading in 1 week). On special occasions, we can read it in one day itself or we can read it in 2 or 3 days. In August 2001, I started reading Sri Sai Satcharitra on a Thursday after darshan of Sai in Samadhi Mandir at Shirdi and continued reading it in the Samadhi Mandir, Parayana Hall, Lendi, the hotel room where I was staying etc. and completed the Parayana just before the noon Arathi on Saturday (about 48 hours). I had some interesting experience while reading Sri Sai Satcharitra in Lendi Bagh, at Shirdi.

After completing the sacred book on Saturday, I could attend the Arathi outside the Samadhi Mandir and later in the afternoon, I went for one more darshan before getting into a bus for Hyderabad. At that time, Sai indeed showed His oneness with my family deity Lord Venkateswara Swamy (that indeed was my desire / prayer before starting on a 12-day pilgrimage that took me to Tirumala Tirupati, Sri Kala Hasti (Abode of Lord Siva), Hampi (Virupaksha Swamy, Lord Siva), Maha Lakshmi of Kolhapur and Sadguru Sai at Shirdi). I will share more details of that particular pilgrimage separately. Sai Ram.

    Arati to Shri Sai Baba

Oh Sai Baba, we wave lights before You, the bestower of happiness to the Jivas. Give us - Your servants and devotees rest under the dust of Your feet. Burning (destroying) desire, You remain absorbed in Your Self and show the Lord (God) to the aspirants. As one feels intently, You give him experiences or realizations accordingly. Oh kind-hearted,Your power is such! Meditation on Your name removes our fear of the samsar. Your method of work is really unfathomable as You always help the poor and helpless. In this Kali age, You - the all-pervasive Datta, have really incarnated as Saguna Brahma. Ward off the fear of samsar of the devotees who come to You every Thursday so as to enable them to see the feet of the Lord. Oh! God of Gods, I pray that let my treasure be the service of Your feet. Feed Madhav (you should utter your name here) with happiness as the cloud feeds the Chatak bird with pure water and thus keep up Your Word. Amen!

Sai Ram. I consider myself to be really fortunate in having been used as an instrument in this Jnana Yagna (Spiritual Gems from Sri Sai Satcharitra is a gift from Sai to His devotees and His children from His limitless ocean of Knowledge, Mercy and Love). I know that I am quite unworthy of any merit, honor or praise but Sai Sadguru, being the kind Father that He is, has made use of me (my body, mind and ego) as an instrument in His Divine Plan. Om Sri Sai Ram. Om Sri Sai Natha Arpanamastu. I offer this at the holy Lotus feet of Sadguru Sai and request Him and you, the readers to forgive me for any errors that have crept in because of my very unripe ego. Sai Ram.

Bow to Shri Sai - Peace be to all
