Sacred, Soulful, Sanatan: The Dharmic Grandeur of Anant And Radhika's Wedding
In July, India witnessed not just a wedding but a cultural renaissance as Anant Ambani, the youngest son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani and philanthropist Nita Ambani, tied the knot with Radhika Merchant, daughter of Viren and Shaila Merchant. Their marriage was a magnificent ode to Sanatan Dharma, tradition, and timeless Indian values.
As the couple completes one year of togetherness, their Sanatan-style wedding remains one of the most iconic celebrations in modern India-steeped in Vedic rituals, sacred chants, and unmatched grace.

A Divine Celebration Across Sacred Grounds
The wedding festivities spanned from Jamnagar, the Ambani family's ancestral karmabhoomi, to Mumbai's Jio World Centre. The venues were not just luxurious-they were transformed into spaces of spiritual energy, echoing the cultural wealth of Bharat.

Speaking about the venue choice, Nita Ambani had said during an interview, 'This wedding was not just for us, it was for India. Every flower, every mantra, every piece of décor reflected the spirit of Sanatan Dharma. We wanted to give our children the most sacred start to their married life.'
Rituals That Echoed Ancient Wisdom
The wedding strictly followed Vedic traditions and Dharmic rituals led by scholars from Varanasi and Tirupati. From Ganesh Pujan, Graha Shanti, to the Vedic Vivaah Sanskar, each step carried spiritual depth.
Mukesh Ambani, visibly emotional during the Kanyadaan, was quoted saying, 'My daughter-in-law is the light of our home now. And we are proud that this wedding upheld every sacred value we grew up with.'
One of the most touching moments was when Radhika entered the mandap during the jaimala, dressed in a lehenga inscribed with Sanskrit verses, while Anant stood in traditional dhoti-kurta, hands folded in reverence.

A Wedding That Touched Bollywood And Beyond
The guest list was a galaxy of stars-from Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone to Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, and international guests like Ivanka Trump and Bill Gates.
After the wedding, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog, 'In all my years, I have never seen a wedding so connected with the soil and soul of India. It wasn't a spectacle-it was a celebration of dharma, grace, and rootedness.'
Shah Rukh Khan, close to the Ambani family, shared, 'Anant is like a younger brother to me. Watching him begin this journey with Radhika, with so much tradition and love, was overwhelming. It was Bharat at its best.'

Attire With Ancestral Elegance
Radhika's attire was designed by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, with sacred motifs like shankha, kalash, and lotus, while Anant wore handwoven silk with ancient-style embroidery.
In a behind-the-scenes snippet, designer Sandeep Khosla shared, 'We didn't design a lehenga-we designed a legacy. Radhika carried 5,000 years of tradition on her shoulders with modern grace.'

Production Value Meets Devotion
Producers of the wedding decor, known for their work on Kumbh and temple festivals, created mandaps resembling the Ram Janmabhoomi temple and Meenakshi Amman shrines. Each celebration had musical performances rooted in Carnatic, Hindustani, and devotional styles, making it a cultural blend across Indian states.
A Legacy that Lives On
It isn't just their love story that's remembered, but the cultural ripple it created. More and more Indian families today are inspired to return to Dharmic roots for weddings-not just for aesthetics, but for soulful connection.
From Vedic chants to Bollywood blessings, from ancestral values to international admiration, Anant and Radhika's wedding was a landmark moment in modern Indian culture. This wedding continues to inspire a new age of meaningful celebrations.
It wasn't just a wedding-it was India, in its purest and most divine form.
