8 Reasons You Need Alone Time In Relationships

Human beings are social animals. This means we usually like to have people in our lives. While it is is true that you want someone to hold your hand when you are alone and cuddle up next to in bed, there are times when you crave alone time in relationships. The need for alone time in relationships is not a requirement that is unique for you. Every normal individual wants some time for himself or herself.

Space and alone time is not the same thing. When you give 'space', you are basically allowing a person to do whatever he or she wants. But alone time is more specific in nature. When you allow your partner to have alone time, you must let him or her be 'alone' and do whatever pleases him or her. Going out with friends and having a stag night does not classify as 'alone time'. The importance of alone time in a relationship is very critical.

WHY GIVING SPACE IN A RELATIONSHIP IS IMPORTANT

It is absolutely normal to want alone time in a relationship and thus you should never feel guilty about it. Always remember that your first priority in life is 'you'. If you don't give preference to yourself and your needs, nobody else will. Thus, if you need alone time in relationship, be sensible about it. And if your partner wants the same, then don't be a jerk about it!
