Eggless Chocolate Cake Recipe: How To Prepare Eggless Chocolate Cake At Home

Eggless chocolate cake is an important recipe both for children and adults. This cake is prepared without eggs and icing in it and yet it tastes the most delicious.
Eggless chocolate cake does not require any expertise and all that it requires is an oven to be cooked. A pressure cooker can be used as well; but in our recipe, we use an oven which takes around 50 minutes to fluff up this cake.
Eggless chocolate cake can be savoured by itself without any accompaniment of other drink or food. The chocolate chips added as the topping enhance the richness of the cake and prickle one's taste buds.

Maida - 1½ cup
Milk powder - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
Coffee powder - ½ tbsp
Fresh cream - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Baking powder - 1 tbsp
Soda - ½ tbsp
Ghee - for greasing
Chocolate chips - for topping

1. Add maida in a large bowl.
2. Add milk powder and sugar.
3. Add cocoa powder and coffee powder.
4. Add a cup of both, fresh cream and milk.
5. Whisk it well until the mixture turns into a smooth and thick batter.
6. Now, add baking powder and soda.
7. Whisk it again for the batter to blend well with the other ingredients and keep it aside.
8. Grease the baking tray with ghee.
9. Pour the cake batter into the tray.
10. Place the tray in the pre-heated oven (10 minutes pre-heated).
11. Set it to 170 degree Celsius for 45-50 minutes.
12. Once done, remove it from the oven.
13. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the cake.
14. Keep the cake back in the oven for 10 minutes.
15. Once done, remove it and release the tray.
16. Cut the cake and serve.
- 1. Make sure to use fresh cream or malai. Butter can be used as well.
- 2. We have not used dalda in this cake recipe to avoid the heaviness.
- 3. Ensure to free the batter of lumps.
- 4. The baking tray can be greased with ghee or oil.
