The coconut ladoo recipe is an authentic Indian sweet recipe that is prepared for most festivals and general celebrations at home. The ladoo is made from dry grated coconut and condensed milk. This ladoo gives a nutty aroma by cooking the coconut with the condensed milk.

Serves: 8-10 ladoos

Dry grated coconut - 2 cups + 1 cup for coating
Sweetened condensed milk (milk maid) - 200 g
Chopped almonds - 2 tsp + for garnishing
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

1. Pour the condensed milk in a heated pan and immediately add 2 cups of dry grated coconut.
2. Stir continuously, until the mixture thickens and starts to become sticky and binds with itself.
3. Add cardamom powder, chopped almonds and mix well till it becomes a tight dough.
4. Roll out the coconut mixture into round balls.
5. Roll the balls in the dry grated coconut as a coating.
6. Garnish with chopped almonds.
- 1.The ladoos can be made with freshly grated coconut as well. If fresh coconut is used, make sure you dry roast it first to remove the moistness.
- 2.While stirring the mixture, make sure the sticky dough lifts off the pan without sticking to it.
- 3.The ladoos must be rolled when the mixture is hot.

STEP BY STEP - HOW TO MAKE COCONUT LADOOS
