The theme for 2022 was Together We Are Stronger.

World Brain Tumour Day Theme 2023 is yet to be announced.
Is It Common For Kids To Get Brain Tumours?
The incidence of brain tumours in kids is quite high, but how common are they? It's certainly not something that you hear about every day, but it's an issue that can't be ignored. Brain tumours are a serious health risk for children, and they occur more frequently in India than you may think.
Brain tumours are one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in children in India, accounting for around 33 per cent of all childhood cancers. It's estimated that around 4,000 children in India are diagnosed with a brain tumour each year, and that number is on the rise [1][2].
What Are The Signs Of Is It Brain Tumour In Kids?
It's important to be aware of the symptoms, so you can get your child the help they need as soon as possible. While the symptoms can vary depending on the type of tumour, some of the most common signs to look out for include the following [3]:

- Persistent headaches
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Seizures
- Vision problems
- Hearing loss
- Weakness on one side of the body
- Loss of balance or coordination
- Personality changes
If you notice your child exhibiting any of these symptoms, be sure to consult a doctor as soon as possible.
It's important to keep in mind that these symptoms can be caused by other medical conditions, and not necessarily a brain tumour, but it's best to get them checked out by a medical professional.

On A Final Note...
It's important to remember that, while brain tumours in children are more common in India than you may think, they can still be treated.
With early diagnosis and proper medical care, chances of survival are greatly improved. If you suspect your child may have a brain tumour, don't hesitate to get them the help they need.
