Lack Of Folic Acid Can Lead To Neural Tube Defects
Folic acid is extremely essential for you during the initial stages of your pregnancy. A deficiency in folic acid can result in defects in the neural tube. According to studies, women who had a low intake of folic acid had about twice premature delivery cases as compared to those who had sufficient amount of folic acid.

So, try to consume loads of dark green veggies with leaves like spinach, broccoli, etc. Lentils, avocado, citrus juices and fruits are also some excellent sources of folic acid.
