7 Reasons Why You Bleed During Pregnancy
Pregnancy is considered to be one of the most happiest phases in a woman's life. But, when she encounters something like unexpected bleeding, she naturally begins to worry. Experts state that bleeding during pregnancy is normal and most women still have a healthy pregnancy post this problem.
There are several reasons why you bleed when pregnant and Boldsky has listed a few common reasons or factors that cause the bleeding to occur.
In the early stages of pregnancy, due to the implantation, the pregnant woman begins to bleed a little. Cervix sensitivity is another common reason for the onset of bleeding at the time of pregnancy.
ARE YOU BLEEDING IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER?
In many cases, this bleeding is not alarming as it causes no danger to the pregnancy or to the mother. The best thing to do when you experience any kind of bleeding in pregnancy is not to panic or assume the worst. If the bleeding continues to worsen by the minute and if pain accompanies it, then you must visit the doctor immediately.
Here are some of the reasons why you bleed when pregnant. Take a look at these reasons and make sure not to panic as it could only make matters worse. Stress during pregnancy is one of the main causes of miscarriage.

Cervix Sensitivity
Your cervix is very sensitive at the time of pregnancy. So, a slight irritation in its way can cause mild bleeding to occur. In some cases, even a routine prenatal pelvic exam or sexual intercourse can cause you to bleed.

Implantation Bleeding
After the egg has been fertilised, it makes its way down into the uterus to implant itself into the uterine wall. Since the uterus is so rich in blood, this implantation can cause the onset of bleeding during pregnancy.

Placental Abruption
The reason you bleed during pregnancy is that the placenta partially or fully detaches from the uterine wall. Thus, placental abruption either happens before or during labour which is caused by trauma, substance abuse and even maternal age.

Ectopic Pregnancy
Ectopic pregnancies happen when the egg implants somewhere other than the uterus, usually in the Fallopian tube. The symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy involves vaginal bleeding, period like cramps and sharp pain in the abdomen region.

Placenta previa
Placenta Previa is where the placenta partially or completely covers the cervix. In these cases, women are prescribed to lay flat to prevent the onset of too much of bleeding. If there is a possibility, then a c-section is preformed to avoid any harm to the mother or baby.

Subchorionic Hematoma
Subchorionic Hematoma is assumed to be caused when the egg implants and partially tears away from the uterine wall. It is said that if the Subchorionic Hematoma is in a small or moderate condition, it tends to resolve on its own in less than 20 weeks. But if large, it can cause placental abruption and at times a miscarriage too.

Miscarriage
One of the many reasons for bleeding during pregnancy is miscarriage. Miscarriage is a common pregnant woman problem. The symptoms include vaginal bleeding with clots and tissue, strong cramping in the lower stomach, and low back pain. There are women who think that any sort of bleeding is a miscarriage and these kind of assumptions should never be carried out.
