Black Grapes

Black grapes are particularly problematic for pregnant women. It is believed that the skin of black grapes becomes non-digestible by the weakened digestive system of a pregnant woman. That is why, pregnant women should avoid black grapes.

Acidity

Grapes are very acidic especially when they are sour. And pregnant women are anyway prone to heartburn. That is why, acidity can be caused if pregnant women eat too many grapes. This might lead to nausea and vomiting as well.

Diarrhea

Eating too many grapes increases stomach heat. So this can lead to loose motions and diarrhoea in pregnant women. Diarrhoea during pregnancy is a dangerous condition as it makes you loose fluids from your body.

Toxicity

The main problem with eating grapes during pregnancy is that they contain high amounts of resveratrol. This chemical can be potentially toxic for the hormonally imbalanced pregnant women.
