Panic Attack Treatment During Pregnancy

It is believed that hormonal dis-balance among pregnant women is one of the most common reasons behind getting panic attacks.
Symptoms of panic attacks during pregnancy are:
- chest pain
- feeling dizzy or nauseous, fainting
- rapid heartbeat almost like pounding
- shaking and trembling
- irrational fear about something
- excessive sweating, shivering or feeling hot
- choking
- difficulty in breathing
Treatment of panic attacks during pregnancy:
Consult your doctor immediately to cure panic attack during gestation as the fear can make you feel more uncomfortable and be harmful for the baby too. Proper medication will reduce the panic attacks among pregnant women. The most important treatment for panic attacks during pregnancy is by thinking positive and confident. The pregnant woman fears as with pregnancy comes responsibilities which she feels sacred of for sometime.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is another prescribed therapy for the treatment of panic attacks during pregnancy. This therapy is safe as drugs are not used which might be harmful for the baby.
Control over the psychological instabilities can also cure panic attacks during pregnancy. Breathing exercises is believed to be effective in the treatment of panic attacks among pregnant women. Sharing the fear with your husband or closed one can also provide relief. Panic attack during gestation can be controlled if the thinking is positive.
