Cause, Symptoms And Prevention Of Miscarriage

Miscarriage, is when the loss of pregnancy within 20 weeks of conception. It is the by mistake ejection of the foetus from the uterus. There are causes which leads to miscarriage but at the same time, there are times when even doctors cannot explain the reason for a failed pregnancy.
Causes Of Miscarriage
1.Alcohol During Pregnancy - During pregnancy, the mother passes on every thing she eats or drinks to the baby, thus when she is drinking, she might pass on the toxic agent to the baby through blood, which then leads to bring some damage to the baby's body part and in case of binge drinking, lead to miscarriage.
2.Sickness – Any sickness which the mother already has, can lead to miscarriage. The most vital is diabetes. Other illness which can have inverse effect on pregnancy are Lupus, high blood pressure etc. The germs of these diseases, have a harsh effect on the maturing baby, which may lead to miscarriage or still birth.
3.Hormonal Imbalance – The hormone which makes the lining of the uterus to the nourish the egg, called progesterone, is sometimes weak in few women. This leads to the detachment of the fetus from the uterus and thus result in miscarriage.
4.Immune System Problem – The baby contains forieng elements from the father. Usually, the immune system of the mother work towards accepting the forign element but in case of some women, the body looks at the baby as an invader and attack it with anti bodies. This leads to miscarriage.
Symptoms Of Miscarriage
1.Vaginal Bleeding/ Spotting – Bleeding from or in the vagina is the first sign of miscarriage. It is also called spotting. Spotting in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy is normal but if it continues into the 14th week it is a danger. Vaginal bleeding can be more or light but non stop bleeding or increase in the bleeding, needs to doctors assistance.
2.Cramping – Abnormal pain in the genitals, lower back and abdomen is the sign of miscarriage. It usually starts after vaginal bleeding or it may be accompanied with gray discharge from the vagina.
3.Other Symptoms – Sudden loss of weight, excessive tiredness, constant nausea, tender breasts and increase in heartbeat rate are some of the other signs of miscarriage, which needs immediate doctors assistance.
Prevent Miscarriage
1.Eat Healthy – Your baby needs nutrients to be strong. Thus intake of fruits, vegetables and milk is adviced. Fatty food should be avoided.
2.Drink Water – Every cup of tea or coffee should be followed with a glass of water. This will help wash away the elements in the beverage which might be harmful to the baby.
3.Don't Stress – Stress can be very harmful for your baby. Thus, relax and don't think negative. During pregnancy, whatever you do has a direct effect on the baby.
4.Yoga – Yoga has the solution to every answer. Relaxing exercises like Pranayam is very relaxing and will keep you stress free. Other yoga exercises under the guidance of an expert will keep you healthy during pregnancy.
5.Don't Overwork – Workout but don't exert your body. This will stress you out and thus effect your baby inversely. Take rest in between exercises.
