The delivery process can be both exciting and at the same time tedious too. It might also involve waiting for hours together. At that particular juncture, it is important to divert your wife's mind and ensure that her mood is fine. See that she doesn't feel anxious or stressed out during the wait period. It is good to carry an ipod or other gadget along with you so that she can listen to music or play games to keep herself occupied till that moment.

Don't Lose Patience
Intense pain can make even the strongest women go crazy. So, as a husband, you must be ready to face such situation on the d-day. Even if your wife screams or shouts at you, don't even feel bad as the pain makes her do so. She doesn't intend to insult you. So, being patient is husband's role during labor.

Keep Your Plans Open
It is very important to be flexible. Even experts cannot predict the exact way things unfold on that day of delivery. So it is better to keep your plans open so that you will be able to adjust according to necessities. Flexibility is a dad's role during labor.

Be A Support System
On that day of delivery, you might need to be ready to run here and there to get things done. If the doctor wants you to get some medicines fast, you need to rush. Or if your wife is hungry and the doctor wants you to get some food for your wife, you must quickly get that done. This way, you must be available and be ready to do anything fast on that day.
