Protein Rich Snacks For Kids
Protein is very important to a child’s growth. It is one of the essential nutrients that you just can’t avoid including in your child’s diet. It is necessary for the growth and development of the child.
Protein gives the necessary energy to your child. Be it after a full day at school or spending the evening at the park, your child needs his/her daily share of proteins. Protein rich snacks are the best way to meet your child's protein requirements.
Isn’t this the only reason why you give your child a glass full of milk each day? Yes, milk is a great source of protein and vitamins too. But, there are lot of foods that are enriched with protein.
Eggs also fulfill your protein needs. You can give your kids boiled eggs or cook up a nice egg meal for them. Eggs with milk are also an interesting combination to increase the protein levels in your kid.
Snacks are great time to induce the protein rich food for your child. You can give your child snacks that are rich in proteins and high in energy. Here are some protein rich snacks that will not just delight your kids’ taste buds but also ensure that the energy levels are always high. Try them out just for your kids!

Beef or Turkey Diet
Beef or turkey is a good idea especially when you want to include proteins as part of your child's snack time. You should take care that the beef and turkey do not contain high amount of salts. If you pack this food properly, it will stay fresh for days. It contains up to 9 gms of protein which is good enough for snack time.

Cottaged Fruit
This is a special snack time delicacy that will be enjoyed by your kids. You need ½ cup cottage cheese and ½ cup fruit to make this delicacy. Mix these two in a bowl and serve it to your kids. You can include fruits like bananas, melons and super berries as part of this superfood.

Mixed Nuts Snack
If you are aiming at giving a protein rich snack to your kids, you should try making them have mixed nuts. This is rich in protein and has a good shelf life if packed properly. You can add dried fruits to bring some sweetness to this pack of mixed nuts. Almonds and pistachios are rich in protein while being low on saturated fats.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
They are tasty! They are fantastic! Pumpkin seeds that are essentially removed before consuming pumpkin can make a good protein snack that's tasty too! You should dry these seeds, roast them and serve it in a bowl to your kid. They will definitely love it.

Eggs Are Good
There's no better protein snack than hard boiled eggs. You can have a boiled egg sandwich or plain boiled eggs with some salt to top it. You can even peel your eggs and have it with a piece of brown bread. It will surely be loved by your kids.

Bean & Cheese Quesadilla
There's no kid in this world who does not like quesadilla for a snack. You just need ½ cup black beans, 1 tablespoon salsa sauce and 1 slice cheddar cheese to prepare this snack. Mix this and place it in a small soft tortilla and cook it dry. Keep cooking till the cheese melts and the tortillas turn brown in colour. You can pack it for lunch for your kids. When you serve it hot, your kids are bound to love it.

Tofu Sticks
Tofu is similar to cottage cheese and kids just love having it. You can cut them into small slices and bake them till they grow firm. You can serve it to your kids with some tomato sauce.
