Causes Your Baby May Be Vomiting
First things first, if your baby is vomiting there is no reason to get alarmed. A baby's system is not like yours. Babies are prone to throwing up because their intestines are not yet fully developed. However, if your baby is vomiting all the time, then it is a cause to investigate. It is important to know the cause of your baby vomiting to ensure that it is not anything serious.
Here are some of the common and also serious causes to know why your baby is vomiting. Double check with your doctor to ensure that there is nothing to get worried.
Causes Your Baby Is Vomiting

Overfeeding
The most common reason why a baby throws up is overfeeding. This may be partly your fault and partly your little one's. Never force your baby while breastfeeding. If the baby's stomach is too full, he or she will invariably throw up. Sometimes your baby might get a little greedy and breastfeed for too long. Such things are bound to happen once in a while. There is no cause for alarm there.
Phlegm
If your baby's food pipe is congested with phlegm then it might lead to vomiting. Coughing vigorously just after feeding is also a common cause of vomiting in babies. So try some home remedies to treat the cough and cold. Or see a doctor to get necessary medications.
Acid Reflux
If the baby makes it a habit to vomit after every feed then it might be due to acid reflux. Your baby might have some gastrointestinal problems that do not allow him/her to digest the milk. In that case you need to consult the doctor and look for alternate feeding options.
Infections
If the throwing up is accompanied by loose motion and loss of appetite then your baby is most probably suffering from a stomach infection. Sometimes, stomach infections can affect the inner lining of the stomach and intestine and cause vomiting in babies.
Bile Vomit
If you see that your baby's vomit is black or discoloured in some other way, then there is cause for worry. This kind of vomiting happens when the bile juices rise up from the stomach. Go to a doctor immediately to be on the safe side.
There is no need to panic unless your baby is vomiting enough to cause dehydration. In that case, give the baby ORS and rush to a hospital immediately.
