Infant Tooth Decay With Baby Bottles

How Baby Bottle Lead to Infant Tooth Decay?
One of the quickest conclusion is to blame the use of Baby bottles but the reality is that baby bottle is not the cause of infant tooth decay. The cause is the constant presence of sweet drink inside the mouth. Most of the time baby goes off to sleep with the bottle in his mouth. The sugar content of the drinks if present for a long time inside the baby mouth erupts the reason of concentration of bacteria. These bacteria's slowly attack the teeth and then erode the enamel. The small holes in the teeth created by the bacteria's, lead to tooth decay and early felling of teeth. The upper front teeth are the worst affected.
How To Prevent Baby Bottle Infant Tooth Decay -
1.Water – Every time he drinks milk or juice, make sure to give him enough water to wash off the leftovers. This will prevent concentration of mouth bacterias.
2.Clean Teeth – After he had had a sweet drink, wipe his mouth with a a clean wet cloth or a baby brush.
3.Drinks With Meals – If he is already taking his meals, make sure to give him sugar content drinks along with meals. This does not allow the bacteria's to stick to the teeth. A lot of green vegetables will be a good agent to keep teeth clean and healthy.
4.Bedtime Milk – Avoid giving the child a baby bottle in bedtime. He should not sleep with the bottle in his mouth. If he has a habit, then replace the sweet drink with water.
Infant tooth decay can be one of the major problems for further teeth growth in future. Thus, regular dental check up is very important.
