Cow's Milk Good For Babies

By Religare

Cow Milk
Milk is one of the most nutritious drinks that contain multiple vitamins for the overall development of the body. It is very significant especially during the early stage of life. A new study says, mothers who feed their babies with cow milk during the first 15 days can prevent their children from dangerous allergies later in life.

"Women who regularly (daily) introduced their babies to cow milk protein early, before 15 days of life, almost completely eliminated the incidence of allergy to cow milk protein in their babies," says Prof. Yitzhak Katz of Tel Aviv University's Department of Pediatrics, Sackler Faculty of Medicine.

Babies who were fed with milk for 15 days, resulted complete protection from developing Cows Milk Protein Allergy (CMA). The problem of CMA can cause rashes, respiratory problems, shock and even death.

Therefore, the pediatrician advises mothers to give a single bottle of milk to babies during the night who are breastfed.

The study also revealed that the first three-to-five months period is the worst time to expose a baby to cow's milk. So the expert suggested when a child attends a year old, then cow milk will do good for his or her diet.
