Types of Cheeses
Cheese is a nutritious food made from the milk of cows and other mammals including sheep, goats, buffalo, reindeer, camels, yaks, and mares. Cheese is one of the world's oldest food products. Cheese comes in hundreds of different shapes, sizes, textures, flavors, and aromas and is used in as many different ways. Enjoyed with bread, crackers, and fruit, used as an ingredient in cooked foods, grated on salads and pastas.
Aurora : A semi-hard cow's milk cheese. It is noted for the beautiful color of its washed rind.
Baby Swiss :
The sweetest cheese that includes Switzerland's famous Emmenthaler and Gruyere. Baby Swiss is notable for its white color, creamy texture and small holes.
Blue Cheese :
All blues begin as unpressed white cheese onto which a blue mold such as Penicillium roqueforti is dusted. Most blues have a crumbly texture and a sharp, tangy flavor.
Brie :
A world-famous cow's milk cheese that originated in the 13th-century near Paris. It is an easily recognized thin disc covered with a whitish bloom.
Caerphilly :
A cows milk cheese with a natural rind. It is a simple, mild, semi firm cheese with a slightly liquid edge near the crust.
Camembert :
A cows-milk cheese similar in appearance to Brie. Camembert originated in Normandy about 300 years ago. Its flavor is only slightly more assertive than Brie, and its rind is edible.
Cheddar :
Cheddar's flavor can vary from mild to extremely sharp and its texture can range from firm but smooth to dry and almost crumbly, depending on the age of the cheese.
Cheshire :
It is hard, with crumbly texture and a tangy, salty flavor.
Colby :
Colby is a washed curd cheese. The cheese is similar to Cheddar, but softer and moister with a mild, sweet flavor.
Coulommier :
Coulommier is a delicious semi-soft cheese, made from cow's milk. same characteristics as brie, It is smaller in size, and thicker.

Feta :
This pale white cheese was originally made from the milk of sheep. It has a crumbly texture and salty taste.
Fromage Blanc :
It is a very soft, white, spreadable unripened cheese made from skim milk.
Gruyere :
A cow's milk cheese with a creamy yellow interior and golden brown rind. Its flavor is rich, with a hint of fruits and nuts.
Gouda :
It is easily recognized by its distinctive red waxed exterior, enrobing a three to fifteen-inch wheel. The cheese i is straw-colored, with a firm yet creamy texture scattered with small holes.
