However, there are some bizarre foods that are also considered as part of the Indian cuisine. For example, in Nagaland, dogs are eaten by many people. Chaprah: In Chattisgarh, red ants and their eggs are used to prepare a chutney called Chaprah. The chutney is spicy and the red ants are also used to make other dishes spicy.
Nahkham: This is a bizarre Indian dish which is actually a specialty of the Garo tribe. It is prepared with dried fish that are blended with distilled ashes and vegetables. It smells yuk but people love to eat it!
Jadoh: The Jaintia tribes of North East India prepare Jadoh. It is a rice dish that is boiled in chicken or pig blood and entrails. It also has pig intestines and not vegetables.
Eri Polu: Eri silkworm is the chief ingredient used in this bizarre Indian dish popular in Assam. The silkworm is used after it has spun its cocoon. Eri Polu is served with Khorisa which is prepared with bamboo shoots.
