The Akbar Mosque, which is inside Ajmer Sharif, was built by the emperor as a token of his gratitude following the birth of his son, Jahangir. On this day, the mosque is converted into a Quranic educational institution that offers religious education to children.

The Niaz (Prasad) Offered To
Inside the Dargah there are two big pots known as Deghs that are installed for cooking Niaz or the Tabarook, which is only vegetarian food. It is cooked with rice, ghee, nuts, saffron and sugar. The food is cooked at night and distributed to the public the next day.

The Dargah Door Opens Only 4 Times In A Year!
The shrine's door opens only 4 times in a year! The door which is known as the Jannati Darwaza is a beautiful gate that is covered with silver metal. It opens only during the annual festival of Urs, twice on Eid, and during the Urs of Khawaja Saheb's Pir.
