Reese Witherspoon' was arrested by the traffic cops in Atlanta on Friday night! This is another incident that shows that several celebrities think they can drive in a disorderly way and get away with it. Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Troth were driving back from a club in Atlanta on Friday night. Jim Troth was at the driver's seat.

According to the police sources and bystanders, their car was switching lanes and driving in a criss cross way. The cops spotted the car and asked them to pull over. Before getting arrested Reese Witherspoon played a predictable 'I am a celebrity so I should be excused' card. Apparently, Reese showed signs of emotional and verbal frustration when she was asked to step out the car.

Reese Witherspoon's husband Jim Troth insisted that he has just had a drink or two but be scored pretty high on the alcohol metre. That is after he was finally forced to breathe into the instrument that detects alcohol on the breath. The couple argued for quite some time before they actually took the test.

When Reese Witherspoon was being arrested along with her husband she yelled at the police man who was doing the honours. She asked him if he had any idea who she was. When the cop replied that he did not have to know her identity as long as she broke the law, a livid Reese promised him that he was going to be on national television.

Reese Witherspoon and her husband were arrested and given a strong warning for drunk driving and disorderly behaviour. They were released a few hours later.

Quite the typical episode of celebrity who was driving in an intoxicated state, isn't it? May be we can look kindly upon younger celebrities like Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus for pulling off stunts like these. But when it comes to matured celebrities like Reese Witherspoon who is the mother of 3 children, irresponsible driving and disorderly behaviour is really not acceptable.

Many celebrities have been arrested in the past for minor offences. However, we expect our older stars to behave more responsibly. And celebrities should really stop playing their 'I am famous' card now. It too much of a cliche!
