Sarbojanin Durga Puja With Celebs

The grand annual celebration of Durga Puja organized by North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samity saw over 25,000 devotees visiting the pandal at Hotel Tulip Star, Juhu. The new venue is open to all for the deity's blessings. Ensuring the convenience of the numerous devotees visiting the pandal, the trust decided to shift to a new, better and bigger location which provides the devotees with better infrastructural facilities such as a pleasant location overlooking the Juhu Beach, easy accessibility to the venue for all the devotees, abundant car parking space and a luxurious pandal with better security and washroom facilities.

Kajol At Durga Puja

Every year, the pandal is visited by famous personalities from the Bollywood fraternity and this year was no different. Kajol, Bappa Lahiri, Tanisha, Anurag Basu, Imitiaz Ali, Tanuja visited the pandal to offer their prayers to the deity and also served Bhog to the adoring fans and devotees. Bhog is served to over 15,000 people each day; this is the only puja pandal wherein the bhog is served in a sit down lunch form.

"We feel truly blessed and humbled by this turnout of devotees visiting our pandal. We wished that Maa Durga's devotees should have a comfortable darshan; hence we decided to shift our venue to Hotel Tulip Star, Juhu. We, the members of the trust await this occasion and look forward to making this Puja an extravagant occasion each year. This year, we paid homage to Swami Vivekananda celebrating his 150th birth Anniversary" said Mr. Debu Mukerji, Secretary, North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja.

About the Trust:
The North Bombay Durga Puja Samity is a Mumbai based non - profit organization, involved in various charitable causes through its members vast and distinguished member base. The Trust was founded in 1948 by Mr. Sasadhar Mukerji of Bombay Talkies, Mr. J. M. Bhadra and other family members and like-minded people of the Santacruz area. Mr. Debu Mukherjee is currently holding the important portfolio as the Secretary of the trust. Over the years, the Trust's followers have expanded to over 25,000. Voluntary work by these members keeps the organization committed to its primary objectives.
