Yoga can cure AIDS
Bhopal, Feb 14 (UNI) Yoga guru Ramdev today reiterated that AIDS, cancer, cardiac problems, high blood pressure and other conditions were curable through Yoga.
''The patient's internal capacity can be enhanced to an extent where he or she can sucessfully combat AIDS,'' he told reporters.
Ramdev, who is here for a six-day Yoga camp getting underway tomorrow, declined to speak in detail on the subject as he alleged that his statements were often distorted.
''It is unfortunate that no scientist is willing to verify Yoga's cure of AIDS,'' Ramdev added.
Describing the youths' increasing inclination towards Valentine's Day as against Indian culture, he said it was a consequence of blindly aping the West.
''It is ironical that India has no tradition of discussing sensual matters though sensuality is a part of the nation's culture.
Sensual relations before marriage and extramarital links are incorrect,'' Ramdev felt.
Pointing out that Yoga was a science, he added that sceptics should interact with those who have benefited from Yoga.
''Surya Namaskar' (Sun salutation) is not a method of worship but an exercise,'' said Ramdev, while adding that work would soon begin on the Yoga Patanjali Ashram in Madhya Pradesh.
