The Gossip singer, Beth Ditto, inherited her passion for music from her mother. She has revealed she used to annoy her siblings by performing songs as she slept. Beth told Britain's Radio 1: "My mom is an amazing singer and I just picked it up. At the age of two I knew all the words to 'Frosty the Snowman'." I sang all the time and my brothers and sisters were always telling me, 'If you don't shut up I'll kill you.' "I once sang so loud in my sleep I woke my mom up and she came in and woke me up, but I was totally out of it. I didn't know I'd been singing. "I sang at school with my high school boyfriends. I was always singing."

Beth also confessed that she was shocked but delighted to be asked to pose for Vogue magazine. The curvaceous star was invited to do a photo shoot for the fashion bible, despite the publication's apparent penchant for super-slim models, and was stunned when they turned her shoot into a huge feature. Beth said: "It was really amazing. When they invited me to do it I thought they'd stick me as a tiny thing in the bottom corner of a page so I was really surprised when they didn't. "It was a shock to be asked because in the issue before they had an article about how clothes look best on size eight girls I thought, 'That's interesting.' "But it was amazing, I had a really good time."
