Keep them clean: Parrot is a lovely bird who loves cleanliness. It is therefore essential for you to clean him regularly with water.

Clean his food and water: If you want to care for parrots then you must change his food regularly and water too on regular basis. You must remove the old food and clean water bowls once or twice daily and serve fresh.

Clean the cage: It is important to keep parrot's cage clean and maintain sanitation in the area where the pet is kept.

Avoid using Trigene: To keep your parrot fit, you must prevent it from disinfectants like Trigene available in the market, because such disinfectants can cause serious health problems in birds.

Train your Parrot: If you're keeping parrot(s) as pet in your house, then you must care for parrots and must make efforts to train your parrot. You may train them to speak or to copy and imitate you. It is a fact that parrots are highly intelligent pets, and it may take some time to train them talking to flock-mates or foraging for food. While teaching your parrot, it must be kept in your mind to limit your teaching session to 10 or 15 minutes at a time so that he can have sufficient time to understand what you have taught him and what to mimic in response to your efforts.

Consult a Vet: Never feed the parrot with supplements and vitamins for training or to polish his mind unless otherwise directed by your pet's vet. You must consult the vet earlier to know what amount of vitamin will be sufficient for your parrot. Remember, larger dosage of vitamins on their diet results in bacterial growth on their body.

You must treat your pet as your own child like 4-5 years old so as to show your love and affection towards him. These are the best tips that will make you lovable for your parrot pet. Just fall in love with them and then see their response and attitude towards you.
