Cornstarch
Corn starch (about 15 ml), cold water and a spray bottle is needed to make this natural starch. You need to first boil the water for a minute. When the water is warm, add the corn starch to the water in the spray bottle. Mix the ingredients well by shaking the spray bottle. This is one of the best natural ways to starch clothes at home.

Potato Water
You will need two potatoes to make this natural starch at home. Boil the potatoes in water and allow it to soak overnight. The next morning, strain the water to remove the sediments and use the potato water. This natural way to starch clothes will also leave your clothing feeling fresh.

Rice Water
Do not pressure cook your rice. Boil your rice and strain the water. Wait for the water to cool down a little. When cool, dip your clothes in this water and dry it in the sun. Starching clothes the natural way with cooked rice water will also add to the longevity of the cloth.

Vegetable Water
Boil your vegetables in a container and add a little salt to the water. Drain the water from the vegetables, add little salt to the water. Now, add this water to your final rinse of clothes in the machine. Dry the clothes after this application.

Arrowroot
Arrowroot is one of the natural ways to starch clothes at home. Arrowroot, a tropical plant, is also added to chemically treated starch. Grind the root and add to a half mug of water. Soak your clothes in this water solution and then dry.

Wheat
Just like rice, wheat too is also used for starching clothes in a natural way. Wheat water is used to soak your clothes and after 20 minutes, dry it in the sun, to give the natural stiffness.
