Keep a basket called the 'Random' basket where you store all the its-bitsy stuff lying around. It could be a hair clip or a football that has nowhere to go. Always keep a laundry bag in the room. Most often the room looks untidy because of all the changed clothes lying around (which by the way you have carelessly tosses here and there). Half your work is already done if all the clothes that have to go for a wash have already been put in the laundry bag. All you have to do is fold the rest.

Always clear the bed first. You will unearth an unbelievable range of objects from the corner wedges of your bed, under the blanket and below the pillows. Your spectacles, sunglasses, watches, earrings and other small objects that you had considered lost will come out of hiding from your bed!

To clean your room fast, it is vital to keep two things handy; one is a dustbin or garbage bag and a wiper. What do you do when you find a fortune worth of old newspapers under your bed? First you dust it and then dispose it right away.

Organizing your room includes organization of the closets too and it is very difficult to do this fast if you are one of those people who just keeps stuffing clothes into the closet indiscriminately till the next room cleaning time. But where there is a will there is a way. Start hanging your clothes on hangers; you can find them easily and also it takes less time than folding clothes.
