As the Christmas is nearing, it is time to start cleaning your house for the festive season. Most importantly, the Santa's favorite network "The Chimneys". 1.Before cleaning the chimneys follow these safety measures – wear old clothes, safety eye wear or dust mask before cleaning chimneys and cover the fireplace opening with a tarpaulin.
2.At first, collect all the large debris in the fireplace and scoop the ashes into a garbage bag
3.Ask your friends to assist you while you climb to the top of the roof with brushes and chimney sweeps.
4.Start sweeping with chimney sweeps in the up and down and twist motion.
5.After cleaning from the top, scrape and brush the inner walls of the chimney and with the help of a broom or a vacuum cleaner, clean up the ashes and wood creosote from the fireplace and damper.
6.Brush the floor and walls of the fireplace with a broom or a brush.
7.Use the tooth brush to clean the wood creosote built up behind the damper.
8.For fine ashes use a vacuum hose and suck all the crease and ashes from the cavity.
9.Using a vacuum cleaner, clean up all of the dust and debris on the floor.
10.Wipe the floor with a cleaning solution and paper towels to get rid of the chimney odor. Also burn some scented candles to make the chimney more welcoming for Santa.
