Vegetables
To grow anti-oxidant rich vegetables , choose a direct and full sun position. Enrich garden soil with organic matter like compost or manure. It is much easier to grow fruits and vegetables containing antioxidants in your backyard. In this way you will avail the benefits of the antioxidants without any health risk of pesticides.

Carrots
They are root vegetables that are high in carotenes and can grow in both gardens and large pots. Try growing Rainbow Carrots which come in yellows, reds and purples for something fun.

Kale

Tomatoes

Evergreen blueberry
They can be grown in pots and gardens, reaching 1meter high. They should be placed in full sun and sown in slightly acidic soil. Once fully grown each bush will produce up to an amazing 4 kilograms of berries each season.

Strawberries
They are perennial trailing plants that will best grow in sunny places. They will also thriver well in hanging baskets or can be planted on soil mounds in gardens. Start with reliable varieties such as sweetheart and torrey.

Coffee & Tea
Apart from antioxidants fruits and vegetables, you can grow coffee and tea rich in antioxidants. You can also grow your own coffee plants. Coffee is an evergreen tree that grows to 5m tall in a sunny position. The green berries turn red when ripe. After a fermenting, drying and roasting process produce antioxidant rich coffee beans ready for drinking.
Tea is harvested from young leaf tips and can be used fresh as green tea or dried and treated as black tea.
