3 Plants To Grow During A Drought
A very important point that needs to be taken into consideration while gardening is that certain plants can only be grown under specific weather conditions. Not all plants can be grown at all times of the year even if you try hard to evolve ideal conditions. Most plants that are grown during the course of the year need to be given careful care and attention. With levels of rainfall coming down over the past few years, growing drought resistant and tolerant plants has to become the order of the day. In this article, we look at three plants that can be grown during a drought.

Let us look at these three lovely plants that can be grown during a drought.
Day lilies:
day lilies, apart from being drought tolerant, look spectacular, especially considering the fact that the plant comes in a spate of fascinating colors. If you already didn't know this, there are a staggering 20 thousand hybrid varieties. Besides, depending on the hybrid variety, day lilies can grow to heights of anywhere between 5 inches to 30 inches.
The Black Eyed Susan
These plants are similar to daisies and come in three different colours including pink, white and yellow. These plants can usually grow to a height of about three to four feet. Of late, varieties that are smaller in size have been developed. These plants reseed too much, something that calls for deadheading. The Black Eyed Susan is impressively drought resistant and do not require too much maintenance.
Perennial Bachelors Button
This is another very attractive drought resistant plant that you can grow in your garden. The Perennial Bachelors Button grows about 12 inches in height and 12 inches in width. This very attractive plant has long silver coloured leaves and blue coloured flowers. The Perennial Bachelors Button is admirably drought tolerant and requires less maintenance.
