Signs Your Cold Is Way Too Serious Than You Think
Sometimes, a prolonged period of having cold can signify that your body is at risk and the condition can be a sign of something much more serious. Read on.
Most of us are affected by cold at some point or the other in our lives. The most common reactions that most of us have when we catch a cold is, "It'll go away".
It can be very obvious for us to assume that cold is just a cold and nothing serious. Almost all us will only try to diagnose and treat it ourselves rather than see a doctor.
But did you know that there are certain conditions where you have to get that cold checked at any cost? You have to get the medical attention that you need.
This is also quite important if you have some chronic conditions like asthma, severe allergies, diabetes, kidney disease, HIV or any autoimmune disorder.

2. Your Symptoms Are Back And Are Worse Than Before:
Sometimes, you feel better, only for the condition to rebound and get worse. These are some emergency signs and you really should not be ignoring these. This is one of the top signs that your cold is more serious.
3. Your Snot Is Colourful:
If your phlegm is of a strange colour, then there is something wrong with your body. This is because, it is white blood cells trying to fight off infections in the body.
4. Your Eyes Are Itchy Or Watery:
If your eyes are watering often, then there are chances that you could have some allergies rather than common cold.
5. You're Losing Weight:
If you're losing weight, even if you're eating quite well, then this can be concerning. This can be subtle signs of hyperthyroidism, bacterial infection or HIV.
6. You're Wheezing:
If your cough is accompanied by wheezing or chest tightness, then you might be experiencing an asthma attack. This is one of the top signs of cold that you should not ignore.
7. You Feel An Intense Pressure:
If you're experiencing pain or pressure in any specific part of your body, then you must be aware. For example, sinus infections can hurt your nasal passages or even your teeth.
8. You're Having Stomach Issues:
Nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea usually do not accompany colds. But if they do, then it might indicate something serious.
9. You Have Severe Headaches:
If you have severe headaches along with fever and neck stiffness, then it could be a sign of meningitis.
10. You Have Body Aches:

muscles

achy,
