Myth 2. Water Flushes Out Body Toxins:
It is actually the kidneys that help get rid of the toxins from the body. If you do not drink enough water, the kidneys will not have have water to carry out their task of removing wastes and toxins.

Myth 3. Bottled Water Causes Tooth Decay:
Well, it is just that tap water contains fluoride and prevents tooth decay and bottled water does not contain fluoride.

Myth 4. Drinking Water Keeps The Skin Moist:
Drinking large quantities of water does not prevent dry skin and the health of the skin largely depends on other several internal matters.

Myth 5. Water Helps You Lose Weight:
Well, water doesn't help you lose weight. But replacing water with other calorie-rich beverages will affect you body weight, which may not help you lose weight.

Myth 6. Yellow Urine Is Due To Dehydration:
Some people may mistake yellow urine to be a sign of dehydration. However, yellow urine is not actually a sign of dehydration. When you notice the urine to be in an abnormally dark yellow colour, then that may be a sign of dehydration.

Myth 7. You Don't Require Much Water During The Winter Months:
During the summer, there are several visible signs of sweat and you tend to drink more water than ever. In winter, you don't tend to sweat much and you consume less water. However, in reality, the body loses fluids even during the winter months, primarily due to dry air.

Myth 8. Sports Drink Must Replace Water, To Perform Well in Athletics:
Sports drink does not necessarily help with the hydration process in your body. Drinking water is the best way to transport nutrients and energy throughout the body and to remove heat. Further, when it comes to long-distance marathons, then sports drinks can be preferred as well. But for everyday exercises, water must be the option.
