The Method
When you experience a particular emotion, identify it first. Sit silently for 2 minutes and breathe deeply. It could be any situation that stresses you.

Step #2
Hold the finger that is associated with that particular emotion. Just gently grasp it with the other hand. Not too hard and not too loose. For example, If you are depressed or scared, hold the index finger. If you are nervous before a job interview or a presentation, hold the little finger.

Step #3
Hold the finger for 3-5 minutes. Breathe deeply. Release the grasp after you feel a pulsating sensation. Repeat the same for the fingers of the other hand.

After doing this, your stress levels will reduce. This method can be tried anytime, anywhere.

Just like the circulation of blood, even energy is said to circulate throughout the body. Even Indian yoga says that 'prana' or life force is said to travel all over the body through the 'nadis'.
The energy or the life force is what makes us live, breathe, move etc. This method is said to enhance the flow of that force clearing the obstructions.
