Do You Have Body Odour Issues? Then, It Could Be A Sign Of Serious Disorders!
The problem arises when a person experiences unpleasant body odour, even after making an effort to stay hygienic.
Do you feel like your body or your sweat has an extremely unpleasant odour? Do you feel embarrassed to socialise because of that? If yes, you must learn about certain things your body odour says about your health.
It is quit normal for most people to sweat on a daily basis; and if we do not clean ourselves regularly, then the sweat can cause a lot of unpleasant body odour.
However, the problem arises when a person experiences unpleasant body odour, even after making an effort to stay hygienic.
Perspiration is one of the most common causes for body odour and as long as it does not show certain abnormal signs, sweating is quite healthy.
Due to the fluids secreted by the sweat glands, we sweat at times, especially if the weather is hot, after a strenuous activity, when we are nervous, etc.
However, if your body odour or the odour of your sweat is extremely unpleasant, then there may be a cause for concern.
So, have a look at what your body odour says about your health, which is as mentioned below.
1. Fishy Smell

If your body odour smells like fish, then it could mean that you may be suffering from a metabolic disorder called trimethylaminuria, in which the body is unable to breakdown protein-rich foods, so the excess protein is responsible for the fishy odour.
2. Faeces Smell

If your body odour smells like faeces, it could mean that you have digestive problems or acute constipation, in which case the toxins accumulated are secreted out along with sweat, causing the bad odour.
3. Sweaty Smell

If you smell like sweat constantly, it could mean that you may have hyperhidrosis, a condition in which a person sweats at an abnormal rate.
4. Metallic Smell

If your body odour smells very metallic, it could mean that you may be suffering from liver damage, digestive disorders or metabolic disorders.
5. Unpleasant Odour After A Hot Flash

If you are experiencing unpleasant body odour immediately after a hot flash, it could be a symptom of pregnancy or of menopause.
6. Mild Smell

If you notice that your body odour is becoming more milder, it is a sign of ageing when the sweat glands start to become more inactive.
7. Alcohol Smell

If you feel like your body odour smells like alcohol, even when you are not around alcohol, it could be a symptom of alcoholism!
