Our body and brain require sufficient amount of rest to recharge themselves. Giving up on sleep to finish the work and other routines is not an ideal choice to make. Over a period of time, the results of sleeping less can be seen on our health, as our body starts craving for rest.
In this busy world, we often forget to take care of our body. For example, youngsters go early to bed with their mobiles and laptops. They stay engaged in without realising that they are missing out on their sleep. This habit can take a toll on their health. So, one needs to pay attention to his/her own health by making a few changes in the lifestyle.

Less Sleep Can Cause Death
A research has proved that people who sleep less have a higher morality rate when compared to people who sleep for long hours. Sleeping less makes you more prone to develop cardiovascular diseases at an early age.

Low Sex Drive
This is one of the health reasons caused due to lack of sleep. Men who suffer from sleep apnoea tend to have a lower testosterone level, which can be bad for the sex life. So, make sure you sleep for at least 8 hours in a day.

Fatigue Leads To Accidents
Driving while suffering from loss of sleep is said to be as dangerous as drunken driving. The risk of driving in this state is more dangerous, as it has the same impact as that of drunken driving.

It Causes Depression
Generally, people who suffer from anxiety and depression are asked to work on their sleeping patterns. If a person sleeps less, there are chances that he/she is mostly depressed.

Skin Faces The Brunt
Puffy eyes and swollen skin are few symptoms of lack of sleep. To avoid this, one needs to have a sound beauty sleep of 8 hours. If this cannot be done, it is compulsory that you get at least 6 hours of sleep each night without fail.

Gain Weight
No matter how much you diet or exercise, you might be gaining weight. The hidden reason may be due to lack of sleep. Studies have revealed that sleeping less can add extra pounds to your system.
