Think twice before you order a cocktail which has diet soda. According to a study, these drinks make you drunk faster as the liquor seeps into your bloodstream faster because of the sugar-free content. They also leave you with a terrible hangover.
Diet sodas damage your teeth. The acid in diet soda dissolves the enamel leading to tooth decay. Diet sodas contain preservatives like sodium benzoate or potassium benzoate. They cause cell damage, hives, asthma and other allergic conditions. They cause irritation to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
