Natural Cures For Dry Cough At Home
Cough is a natural defense to eject any foreign particle which enters the body through the respiratory tract. The cough centre in the brain is stimulated due to the irritation in the respiratory track.
Cough itself is not a disease, but a symptom caused by respiratory diseases such as tuberculosis, common cold, flu, asthma and bronchitis. There are two main types of cough, productive cough and nonproductive cough.
The cough is said to be productive when mucous or phlegm comes out from the lungs into the mouth, when you cough. This helps to clear your respiratory tract and thus relieve congestion. During nonproductive cough, no phlegm comes out with cough.
Solve Embarrassing Health Conditions
Dry cough is usually nonproductive and is a very annoying condition. The cause of dry cough can be serious, sometimes it can be an indication of lung cancer. If the underlying cause of your dry cough is not respiratory infection, then you must visit a doctor to check the cause. However, dry cough can also be caused by throat allergy, airway obstruction and side effects of many medications can also cause dry cough, for e.g. anti-hypertensive drugs.
