Foods That Fight Loose Motion
Loose motion or diarrhea means that you frequently pass loose and watery stools. There is abdominal pain and cramps also. Loose motion as such is not potentially fatal but it can claim life if you don't supply your body with enough fluids.
Loose motion causes loss of water and electrolytes from the body which you have to compensate. Dehydration caused by loose motion can be severe if you don't take enough fluids. One best drink for loose motion is ORS (oral rehydration salts).
ORS supplies your body with all the electrolytes lost with stools such as sodium, potassium, magnesium etc. You can give it to children also who suffer from loose motion. Indeed if saves the life of many children having diarrhea.
The causes of diarrhea are intestinal infection caused by bacteria that are ingested through contaminated food and water. Loose motion can also be caused by food allergies, food poisoning and side effect of some antibiotics.
Ideally you should not try to stop your loose motion as it is natural mechanism to let the toxins and bacteria to come out of the body. But you should have enough fluids and some foods that will benefit you and alleviate weakness and dehydration.

Banana

Legumes And Pulses
Legumes are rich in nutrients as in diarrhea you may suffer from malnutrition and weakness. You can have thin soup of legumes that will supply your body with fluids and nutrients as well.

Honey
It is a natural cure for almost all health ailments. It has anti-bacterial properties and is very effective in treating diarrhea. Mix half teaspoon of cinnamon powder with one tablespoon of pure honey in a glass of water. Drink it two times a day.

Coconut Water
It is one of the best remedy to treat dehydration caused by diarrhea. It is rich in electrolytes that are lost from the body during diarrhea. This drink will replace all the lost minerals in your body. Coconut water is a must to have in loose motion.

Curd
It is rich in good bacteria or probiotics that are lost during diarrhea. These good bacteria in your gut keep it healthy and prevent you from diarrhea. Curd also contains many vitamins, minerals and calcium as well.

Buttermilk
It sooths your digestive system and also kills many intestinal bacteria due to its acidic nature. Buttermilk also treats dehydration during diarrhea. If you add a little salt and mint in it then it will be more beneficial and tasty as well.

Vegetable Soup
Soup of mixed vegetables is rich in all essential nutrients that are beneficial for your body especially when you are dehydrated. It is rich in vitamins and minerals that are most needed during illness.

Pomegranate
It is very helpful in treating diarrhea. It is rich in many vitamins and minerals that your body loses during diarrhea. You can have pomegranate juice or eat its seeds directly.

Fenugreek Seeds (methi seeds)
Grind two tablespoon fenugreek seeds to form a powder. Mix this powder with a glass of water and drink it two times a day.
