Deep breath
Taking deep breaths in a fixed interval is a good idea to relax. This will increase oxygen supply to the body and will also help in maintaining the proper hormonal balance. This will also help in keeping the heart rate normal and will reduce blood pressure.
4-7-8 technique
Among the breathing tricks that help you to sleep quickly, this is the most widely accepted one. Sit up with your back straight, and press the tongue on the roof of your mouth. Inhale through your nose for four counts and hold that breath for seven counts, and then exhale through your mouth around your tongue for eight counts. Repeat this four times.
Meditation
A clam mind is essential for a sound sleep. To attain a calm mind, meditation is the best thing that you can try. Incorporating proper breathing techniques while meditating will help you get calmer. This is one of the breathing tricks that help you to sleep quickly.
Bellows breath
Inhale and exhale through the nose, with your mouth closed. Keep your breaths short, but in a
regular interval while making the diaphragm move quickly. Try to take three breaths per second. This exercise is also called stimulation breath. Try this and see how easily you can fall asleep.
Kapalbhati
Kapalbhati is a yoga technique that can help you to get a good sleep. The main technique used here is the forceful exhalation trough mouth with abdominal contractions after inhalation through nostrils.
