Drinking soda can worsen the condition. As the mouth is not producing enough saliva, drinking soda can harm your teeth and salivary glands.

No Sugar
Avoid having sugar till you treat your dry mouth. Saliva is a natural cavity-fighter and when it is not produced in sufficient amounts, sugar can cause plague and cavity which is bad for the oral health. So, avoid sugar and sugary drinks as well.

Tooth Care
