Signs Of Menstruation To Keep In Mind
Menstruation or period is a periodic shedding of blood from the vagina. It is a method that prepares the body for future pregnancy. Women typically stop bleeding when they get pregnant or when their age for reproducing closes (commonly known as menopause).
We all women suffer from basic menstruation related problems like irregular periods, menstrual cramps, excessive or less bleeding etc. There are many ways to get rid of these menstruation health problems. However, if you are already or soon to become a menarche, you need to know the signs of periods. These signs can also be noticed by mothers who have young daughters.
There are few signs or rather symptoms to know that your period is coming. These signs of menstruation are both physical and mental. Girls who newly turn into a menarche find it difficult to maintain their menstrual cycle (as per dates). That is why, most of them are unprepared and suffer embarrassing moments in public at times. Before you get a stain on your clothes, keep a track of these signs of menstruation. Knowing these signs of periods will help you stay prepared and alert. Note, not all women might suffer from all these signs of menstruation.
Signs of menstruation:

Dry vagina
Every month a white discharge among women before the periods is very normal. However, before the periods, many women suffer from dry vagina also.

Cervical secretions
While few women suffer from a dry vagina, many women get a white milky like discharge a day or two before their period. It is a sign that your period is coming closer.

Tender breasts
This is one of the common signs of menstruation. The breasts become tender and sometimes heavy before the periods.

Back pain
Signs of menstrual cramps are felt before the periods start. Lower back pain, inner thigh pain and abdominal pain are commonly felt by women.

Breast pain
In many women, breasts not only become tender, but painful too! Even little pressure on the breasts hurts. Take it as a sign of menstruation.

Headache
Many women face this sign of menstruation. Before the periods, headache and laziness are common health problems faced by women.

Water retention
Few women suffer from water retention few days before their periods come. Stay hydrated to avoid dehydration.

Food cravings
This sign of menstruation can scare many women! Not only during pregnancy, but also before your periods come, you can notice this sign. Food craving and thirst are commonly felt by women.

Mood swings
Mood swings are commonly felt by women before their periods. You might feel sad or extremely happy for no reason!

Fatigue
Many women suffer from fatigue and laziness before the periods. Feeling lazy or sleepy is a sign of menstruation.
