Fast food menus which information helps children to reduce the the parents to provide smarter meal option to their children.
Mc Donalds provided the current price lists and pictures of the food items to parents of 3 to 6 year olds. They were told to select the meal for the children and for themselves. Half of them were given the menus with weight informations. The items included a variety of sandwiches, salads, burgers, side items, dressings, desserts, beverages and children's “Happy Meals".
The choices of the parents with and without weight information were later compared. This could prove that even the modest weight adjustments on daily basis can reduce weight gain a lot,. This leads to better health over a period of time.
Dr. Pooja S. Tandon, from Seattle Children's Research Institute, says that just 100 to ten pounds of weight gain a year by junk food. So choosing lower calorie,health,junk food,mc donalds,weight items can help us have a better health.
